You may want to find out how your local public pool keeps you and your children safe. According to the Fox News website, there is “poop in public pools.” If you didn’t already know that public pools are historically subject to various serious contamination, this is your heads-up. (Psst… That’s why pools are disinfected with chlorine.)

We came up with a Fox News piece, “Majority of pools are contaminated by poop, CDC says” written by Karen Rowan and published online to the link below on May 16, 2013. The information is credited to the Live Science website.

This piece mentioned a new report from researchers at the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). I could not find a specific ‘new report,’ but as we know public swimming pools are subject to various serious infectious contamination.

Since we did not discover a link to the CDC’s new report based on the summer of 2012 data for Health of Public Pools for Children and Adults, we took a tour of the CDC website, and searched for ‘swimming pool ecoli.’ You can discover what we found at the link below…
